This full-time opportunity runs from late August 2026 through June 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours a week. Requirements and Qualifications:
- Hold a degree in Communications, Speech-Language, or Communication Disorders.
- Experience delivering speech-language services within school settings preferred.
- Understanding of school-based processes and ability to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families.
- Familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements in educational environments.
- Note: An SLPA license is not required or offered in Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support in speech, language, and communication to students under supervision of licensed professionals.
- Implement direct and indirect therapy activities as prescribed.
- Document session notes and maintain accurate records to comply with school and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, special educators, and classroom teachers to meet student goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to progress reporting as needed.
- Communicate effectively with families and school personnel regarding student progress and participation.
