Duties
- Safely operate forklift, reach truck, & pallet jack to build large pallet orders
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory management software, and ensuring accurate record-keeping using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Support order fulfillment through picking, packing, and preparing shipments for shipping & receiving processes
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and OSHA standards while handling materials manually or with mechanical equipment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, including stocking, organizing materials, and managing storage space efficiently
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during material handling activities
- Assist in packaging products securely for shipment
Requirements
- Have to be available for work Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
- Have to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet the majority of the day
- Proven experience operating forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, crane or other heavy machinery in a warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Familiarity with safety protocols including OSHA regulations and proper PPE use during all warehouse activities
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, order picking calculations, and documentation accuracy
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team under tight deadlines
