Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices to promote functional independence.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers—to coordinate care strategies.
- Support discharge planning by preparing clients for transition to home or other care settings through skill training and caregiver education.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations using electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide specialized interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, as well as those with disabilities across pediatric and adult populations.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
- Experience working in diverse environments including inpatient acute care units (ICU), skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, school settings, or home health services.
- Ability to develop treatment plans that incorporate client goals while adhering to clinical guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records management.

Pay: $45.31 - $50.00 per hour
