Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused A/V Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and supporting audio/video and automation systems in residential and commercial environments. This role requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve audio/video, automation, and networking system issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain displays, distributed audio systems, video conferencing equipment, automation platforms, and network devices.
- Perform service calls and preventative maintenance for residential and commercial clients.
- Clearly communicate system issues, recommendations, and solutions to clients.
- Document service activities, system configurations, and completed work accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and installation teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively during client interactions.
- Travel throughout the DMV area to support client needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in A/V installation, service, or technology integration.
- Experience with platforms such as Lutron,or similar systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow, distributed audio, HDMI technologies, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and system documentation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Industry certifications and manufacturer training are a plus.
