We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Welder to support our production of metal fabrications.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable welder to join our fabrication team. This is a hands-on role focused on MIG welding, fitting, and assembly of mild steel components used in the production of wire carriers and spools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Fit and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools
- Perform basic grinding, drilling, and cutting as part of the assembly process
- Inspect welds and finished assemblies for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and tape measures accurately
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metalworking
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Must be able to lift and move parts up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience welding light to medium gauge steel
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- Basic mechanical assembly experience
