Looking for a fun summer job?! Get outside and work on the water this summer! The Charles River Boat Company is a Boston-based boat company operating sightseeing cruises and private chartered events on the Charles River and Boston Harbor.
Position Overview:
Will be responsible for safety of guests, dock, and all pedal vessels. Provide a safety orientation to all guests as well as assist guests with boarding and disembarking five-person pedal vessels. Will also work at a ticket booth selling tickets and managing reservations. Responsible for cleaning the dock and securing the vessels at beginning and end of each shift.

- Maintain a level of respect and professionalism with fellow crew members, clients, and company managers
- Deliver high-end customer service and uphold impeccable professional standards
- Support water activities, including assisting in the rental process, preparing equipment and launching rental equipment
- Provide instructions to pedal boat renters
- Assist in docking and unloading of other company vessels
- Able to react properly and promptly to unexpected situations and emergencies
- Confidence in ensuring safety on the water for renters
- Must be able to drive a small skiff
- Providing assistance to pedal boats if needed
- Sell tickets for public cruises and provide tour information
- Work independently with shifts that may not overlap with a manager
- Additional job duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Massachusetts boater safety certificate (Required)
- Prior boating and line handling knowledge and experience (Preferred)
- First aid and CPR Certified (Preferred)
- Certified Lifeguard (Preferred)
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work at least part-time May through September
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
