American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hybrid multimodality role performing both CT and X-ray exams across two campus locations, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification.

Hybrid multimodality role performing both CT scans and radiographic exams

Main campus is an acute care hospital; secondary site is an 11-bed freestanding ER with X-ray and CT capabilities
-
One multimodality tech staffs each 12-hour shift at the freestanding ER location

Adult acute care patient population

Uses PACS imaging system and Epic for charting

Schedule is Friday-Sunday, 2 days and 1 night: Friday 6:30a-7p at main campus, Saturday 6:30a-7p and Sunday 6:30p-7a at the secondary site

On-call rotation required among staff at the secondary site only

Weekend work may be required if on-call shifts go unfilled

Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist performing Computed Tomography

ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
-
SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
-
BLS certification required (AHA only)

Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology

License required if applicable

Radiation badge required and must be provided by the traveler/agency

Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns prior to imaging

First-time travelers will be considered depending on the position
-
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced bill rate; non-local candidates are prioritized

Scrub color requirement: black pants with teal top

Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
