Overview
We are seeking an energetic, commissioned, proven results-driven Event Sales Manager to lead our event sales initiatives and deliver unforgettable experiences for our clients. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to attract new clients and expand existing accounts within the event industry.
- Conduct proactive outreach through networking, marketing campaigns, and industry events to generate leads and build a robust client pipeline.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service packages with clients and synergistic business partners to maximize revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Create, coordinate and collaborate on special events and fundrainer to optimize utilization of the available space.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote event services through targeted campaigns, social media, and promotional materials.
- Manage all aspects of event planning including sales funnel, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, catering arrangements, and technical requirements.
- Oversee the management of event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs, offering tailored solutions, and ensuring seamless communication throughout the planning and execution process.
- Upsell additional services such as décor, entertainment, or premium packages to enhance client experiences and increase revenue streams.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of events, including setup, guest management, and post-event wrap-up.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, contracts, payments, and feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Provide predictable effective followup to thank guests, receive feedback, and contribute to a list of potential candidates to nurture and market to.
Experience
- Proven experience in event sales and hospitality management within hotels, restaurants, or banquet facilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and upselling services effectively.
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies and experience managing event budgets from planning through execution.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with event management software, like Toast.
- Hands-on experience in banquet operations or catering services is highly desirable.
- Background in hotel or restaurant environments combined with fundraising or guest services experience is a plus.
