Duties
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
- Design and develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms.
- Conduct data modeling, database design, and query management utilizing SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to ensure accurate data extraction and analysis.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend or similar tools for seamless data integration across systems.
- Perform analysis of large datasets using R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and other analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Support the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by participating in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation activities within Agile frameworks.
- Develop technical documentation such as process flows in Visio or Bash scripts for automation purposes while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong data analysis skills and expertise in business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Proficiency in SQL programming for query management within SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar platforms; familiarity with database design principles is essential.
- Knowledge of programming languages including R and Python for advanced analytics; experience with VBA macros is a plus.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile preferred) to manage project workflows effectively from inception through deployment.
- Strong understanding of data visualization techniques and dashboard development for reporting purposes.
- Ability to analyze requirements thoroughly and translate them into technical specifications; excellent analysis skills are critical.
- Experience working with linked data concepts and integrating multiple data sources for comprehensive insights.
- Effective project management skills to coordinate tasks across teams; proficiency in Visio for process mapping is advantageous.
