Key Responsibilities
For Classroom Assistant Positions (4 Openings):

Instructional Support: Help students understand and complete their daily lessons and academic activities.

Material Preparation: Assist teachers in preparing, organizing, and setting up learning materials and classroom activities.

Behavior Management: Actively manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement to keep students focused, safe, and on-task.
For the "Walk to Read" Position (1 Opening):
-
Reading Support: Facilitate small-group reading instruction and targeted literacy interventions during the school's designated reading blocks.

Progress Tracking: Help monitor student reading progress and coordinate with the reading specialist or classroom teachers to support student growth.
For the Lunch & Recess Monitor

Student Safety & Movement: Ensure safe student transitions from the cafeteria to the playground during lunch recess (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM).

Recess Monitoring: Supervise outdoor play (weather permitting) or assist with indoor recess as needed.

Student Assistance: Provide active, helpful supervision to ensure a positive, safe break environment.

Job Description
Effective July 1, 2026
Lane 1 Step 1 ($17.88/Hour) Not Highly Qualified
Lane 2 Step 1 ($18.88/Hour) Associate's degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or
Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/Hour) Current/Former Licensed Teacher
