535 Inc. is a Pennsylvania-based real estate holding company managing a growing portfolio of residential and commercial rental properties. We're looking for a hands-on Renovation Technician to help turn units around quickly and keep our properties in top condition.
Position Summary
The Renovation Technician performs unit turnover renovations, as needed, and general property improvements across our rental portfolio including turning units between tenants, light construction, and major repair work. This role works closely with the Maintenance Foreman and General Manager and helps keep properties rent-ready and well maintained.
Responsibilities
- Complete unit turnover renovations, including painting, drywall repair/patching, flooring installation and repair, and trim/door work
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs (fixture replacement, outlet/switch repair, faucet and toilet repair)
- Install and repair cabinetry, countertops, and appliances as needed
- Complete tile and grout work for kitchens and bathrooms
- Complete general maintenance and repair work orders across the property portfolio in a timely manner
- Coordinate scheduling and material needs with the Maintenance Foreman
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at each property
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment between job sites
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company safety policies
- Document completed work and flag any additional issues found on-site
- Assist with other property maintenance-related items, as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in renovation, construction, general contracting, or property maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and flooring work
- Comfortable using hand and power tools; own basic tool set preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift up to heavy loads and perform physical labor, including climbing ladders and working in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time, Exempt
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM , some flexibility for project needs and busy periods, as needed
