Full-Time | Live-In Position | 1-Bedroom Apartment Provided
On-Call Rotation | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Check this out- don't just click "APPLY." We want to find the right fit for YOU.
If you’re the person people call when something breaks, you like figuring out why it broke, and you take pride in getting the job done right, this could be the opportunity for you.
And there’s a big perk that comes with this position: you’ll live right where you work in a 1-bedroom apartment provided as part of the position.
We’re looking for a reliable, accountable problem-solver who is willing to work hard, learn, and jump in wherever needed. You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters is that you show up, take ownership, use good judgment, and are willing to learn and grow your skills.
What You’ll Own
Technical Repairs & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and complete plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
- Troubleshoot problems and determine the best solution—not just the quickest fix
- Handle resident service requests efficiently and follow through until the job is complete
- Know when to solve a problem independently and when to ask for additional support
Preventative Maintenance & Property Care
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the 102-unit community
- Identify potential problems before they become bigger, more expensive issues
- Help maintain a clean, safe, functional, and well-cared-for property
- Take pride in the condition of the community and the quality of your work
Resident Service That Makes a Difference
- Respond to resident service requests with urgency, professionalism, and respect
- Communicate clearly with residents about maintenance needs and repairs
- Treat every resident interaction as an opportunity to provide great service
- Understand that maintenance is about people as much as it is about fixing things
Apartment Turns & Team Support
- Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting touch-ups, appliance checks, and final walkthroughs
- Work with the property management and maintenance teams to keep the community running smoothly
- Pitch in wherever you’re needed and be willing to learn new skills
- Participate in the on-call rotation and be there for residents when after-hours issues arise
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Reliable: You show up, follow through, and understand that your team needs to be able to count on you
- Problem-Solver: You enjoy figuring things out and don't give up when the answer isn't obvious
- Accountable: You take ownership of your work, your decisions, and the results
- Willing to Work & Learn: You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, ask questions, learn new skills, and take on something you haven’t done before
- Common Sense: You use good judgment and know how to prioritize what needs attention first
- Team-Oriented: You understand that great properties are maintained by people who work together and help each other out
- Resident-Focused: You treat residents with respect and understand that your work directly impacts their experience at home
Top Skills Needed
- Heavy lifting: Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working hands-on throughout the day
- Electrical skills: Able to troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs safely
- Plumbing skills: Strong working knowledge of plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- HVAC knowledge and general apartment maintenance skills
- Ability to diagnose problems and work toward practical solutions
- Willingness to learn additional maintenance skills and systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
