Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service activities
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees to build a strong, motivated team
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales potential
- Maintain inventory management systems and ensure stock levels meet customer demand
- Handle employee scheduling, shift management, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Foster a positive shopping environment through excellent customer service and effective communication skills
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions and sales tracking with precision
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to support employee growth and development
Experience
- Proven management experience in a retail or grocery store setting with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong background in retail math, sales management, and retail operations including inventory control and merchandising
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and training & development
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS systems is essential
- Prior assistant manager or shift supervisor experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills combined with leadership qualities to manage teams efficiently
- Familiarity with marketing strategies, wireless sales (if applicable), and store budgeting processes
