Positive Behavior Support Professional/Mental Health Professional:
This position requires a completed master's degree per DHS licensing
Full-time or Part-time
Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 per year (full-time)
Educational Qualifications: A Positive Support Professional must have ONE of the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the behavioral sciences or related field with demonstrated expertise in positive support services, as determined by the person’s case manager based on the person’s needs outlined in his/her community support plan
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university with at least 4,000 hours of post-master’s supervised experience in the delivery of clinical service in the competency areas
- Independent clinical social worker licensed under Minn. Stat. Chapter 148D
- Licensed professional clinical counselor under Minn. Stat. §148B.50 to148B.593 with at least 4,000 hours of post-master’s supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services with demonstrated experience in competency areas
The Positive Support Professional has the following responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate behavior reduction/elimination strategies that promote least restrictive and approved alternatives.
- Complete individualized functional behavior assessments.
- Understand co-occurring mental health and neurocognitive disorders.
- Data collection, tracking, reporting, assessment, measurement of behavior and interpretation of data.
- Understand and demonstrate ethical considerations related to behavioral analysis.
- Oversee the implementation of person-centered behavioral support plans and support plan monitoring and supervision.
- Provide supervision, feedback and coordinate with positive support analyst.
- Select and recommend intervention strategies to help achieve desired outcomes.
- Instruct/train staff on treatment programs and methodologies.

Schedule:
- Positive Support Professionals have flexibility in setting their own schedule with their assigned caseload. Typical hours are M-F 8a-5p.

- Driver's License (Required)

- Twin Cities Metro Area (various locations)
- Positive Support Professionals provide direct in-person services and indirect or remote support services depending on assigned caseload
