Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to uphold hotel standards.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Use janitorial equipment effectively, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and other cleaning tools to ensure efficient floor cleaning and maintenance.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or cleaning supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Requirements
- Proven hotel housekeeping experience or janitorial/custodial experience in a hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding safety data sheets (SDS) requirements.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
