Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Tool Room Technician at our Plymouth, MN location who enjoys building high-quality tooling, solving problems on the fly, and helping others grow. If you're skilled with CNC equipment, confident reading blueprints, and ready to take a leadership role on the shop floor, this is a great opportunity to make an impact. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production-ready tooling, supporting manufacturing, and improving processes across the Tool Room.

Starting Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

What You'll Do
-
Build, repair, modify, and maintain production tooling using CNC mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and hand tools
- Troubleshoot tooling, assemblies, and production issues to minimize downtime
- Inspect tools and dies to ensure quality and production readiness
- Read blueprints/drawings to assemble and construct tools accurately
- Operate support equipment such as: Laser machines, die benders, polishing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and maintain logs/documentation
- Store, retrieve, and track tooling according to production schedules
- Support and train Tool Room Technicians and new hires
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Collaborate with the team to improve tooling systems and workflows
What You Bring

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience with CNC machining and machine shop equipment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to use hand tools, gauges, and inspection equipment
- 1–2 years of experience in Tooling, assembly, or mechanical repair

Machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment and hand tools
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Preferred Skills

Tool and die fabrication experience

Experience with tooling/mold storage systems

PhysicalWork Environment Requirements

Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts
