Private Housekeeper / Companion / Caretake

Job Description:
Private client seeking a calm, detail-oriented Housekeeper / Companion to provide daily household support, organization, light meal assistance, and occasional mobility support within a peaceful private residence.
The ideal candidate is discreet, emotionally intuitive, professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a quiet home environment with established routines and high household standards. This position is best suited for someone with a naturally calm demeanor who enjoys maintaining order, cleanliness, structure, and a peaceful atmosphere within a private home.
The client is currently in physical recovery and may require occasional light wheelchair assistance throughout the home and during appointments or errands. The client is independent and values autonomy, professionalism, privacy, cleanliness, and a calm household environment.
Schedule:
Typical schedule is approximately 10:00am to 6:00pm, though flexibility is required as hours may occasionally vary. Split shifts may occasionally be requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a pristinely clean, sanitized, organized, and well-stocked home environment
- Daily housekeeping including tidying, kitchen cleanup, dishwashing, wiping surfaces, organizing, trash removal, and household resetting
- Laundry assistance including washing, folding, steaming, linen changes, and maintaining organized closets and laundry areas
- Assist with meal preparation and kitchen support including ingredient prep, meal setup, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Support grocery inventory management, unpacking deliveries, and household supply organization
- Provide occasional light wheelchair assistance throughout the home and during outings or appointments
- Assist with errands, organization projects, and day-to-day household support
- Follow detailed household systems, cleaning preferences, and organizational standards
- Perform periodic deeper cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, baseboards, and detailed household upkeep
- Complete end-of-shift closing duties including resetting common areas, removing trash, organizing supplies, and securing the home

- Reliable, punctual, proactive, and adaptable
- Comfortable following detailed instructions and household preferences
- Experience working in private homes and/or high-expectation environments preferred
- Comfortable in a fragrance-free and smoke-free environment
- Comfortable with light mobility assistance
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation preferred
Household Expectations:
- Fragrance-free environment required
- No smoking, vaping, perfumes, or strong fragrances
- Phones kept on silent during shifts
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Strict confidentiality and discretion expected
- Candidates must maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Shoe covers and gloves required while working in the home
- Hair should be neatly pulled back while working
- Staff are expected to maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow detailed household sanitation practices
- Minimal personal phone use during shifts
- Respect for the client’s privacy and personal space is extremely important

The ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism, discretion, emotional intelligence, cleanliness, and maintaining a calm household presence. The client will provide training regarding household systems, preferences, organization, and cleaning standards.
Compensation dependent upon experience.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
