Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role offers an opportunity to influence young learners' development through engaging instruction and nurturing guidance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, experience working with children, and a strong background in early childhood education. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence in our students.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual student needs.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children from toddlers to preschool age.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social skills among students.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address individual needs, including special education or early intervention requirements.
- Incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
- Support classroom management by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Supervise assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across literacy, math, physical education, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or Montessori methods is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized and nurturing environment.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, standardized testing procedures, and child welfare practices.
- Effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues professionally.
