The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services is looking for a hardworking, organized individual to fill an Customer Service Specialist position within the Licensing & Compliance Division.
Key Responsibilities
As an Office Specialist II, you will:

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders and the general public.

Prepare and/or process documents; review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy; compare elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.

Write or draft correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.

Type and prepare reports or other written materials from source documents, transcription, etc.

Retrieve data found in databases to generate requested reports.

Assist the public and others to locate, view, or access scanned or archived documents and/or information. Act as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the needs of management, staff, clients or customers.

Verify data entry by comparing the source document against input data, utilizing an automated verification system, using dual entry or other verification technique.

Maintain and/or create files or record keeping systems. Sort, label, file and retrieve documents or other materials.

Coordinate fingerprinting requirements in support of DABS licensing and permitting. Monitor BCI background check results; collect, review, and process required documentation; and maintain accurate, confidential records.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age or older.
-
Be able to pass a background check.
Preference(s):
- Have a customer service focus and concentrate on how every interaction helps the customer.

Have administrative or office support experience.

Have experience working in a state or local government office environment.

Be adaptable and flexible to address competing priorities.

Be able to communicate effectively to interact and build relationships with co-workers, managers, stakeholders, and the public.

Be organized and able to manage time and schedule tasks effectively to deliver results and meet deadlines. Have integrity and show that you can be trusted with confidential information and other sensitive data.

Be able to problem-solve and find solutions focused to help keep the division operations running smoothly.

Have attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions correctly to complete work according to specifications.
