Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Distribution Manager to lead our supply chain and logistics operations. Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling.
- Oversee inventory management and control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Lead procurement efforts, sourcing materials and negotiating pricing with suppliers to maximize value.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP systems to plan, execute, and monitor freight movements across domestic and international routes.
- Implement process improvements in logistics operations by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and deploying best practices.
- Supervise warehouse management system (WMS) operations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and efficient warehouse workflows.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, and international trade compliance teams to streamline shipping logistics and ensure regulatory adherence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation planning tools such as TMS or AS400.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives using data analysis skills and supply chain analytics.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, and e-commerce logistics is highly desirable.
- Technical proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ERP platforms, and freight management software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams including procurement, sourcing, packaging, dispatching, and materials handling.
- Ability to manage fleet operations, dispatching, forklift operations, and category management within a fast-paced environment.
