Job Title: Lead Carpenter & Site Manager (Residential / Modular)
Location: Work is spread throughout NJ, Upstate NY, DE, and Eastern PA)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Very Competitive (Premium wages offered for additional multi-trade experience)
About the Position
We are a premier residential home building company looking to hire two elite-level Carpenters to join our growing team. This is not a standard swing-a-hammer role. We are seeking highly skilled "jacks of all trades" who can operate independently, manage a jobsite, and adapt to a constantly fluctuating scope of work.
Whether we are stick framing a custom build, flying modular panels with a crane, or connecting full modular sections, you will be the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring the project is executed flawlessly and safely. If you have a mastery of carpentry, an understanding of overall site management, and the tech-savviness to run documentation from your iPad, we want you on our team.
Core Responsibilities
- Jobsite Management: Oversee daily site operations, work independently with minimal supervision, and coordinate incoming subcontractors to keep the project on schedule.
- Dynamic Carpentry & Assembly: Execute traditional stick framing using both wood and formed steel.
- Modular Construction: Rig, set, and secure modular wall panels using a crane, and expertly set and connect full modular home sections.
- Digital Documentation: Utilize iPhone and iPad field management applications to record daily progress logs, upload site photos, and document work-in-place.
- Cross-Trade Execution: Step in to handle various phases of the build process as project scopes fluctuate.
- Safety Leadership: Maintain a strict, paramount focus on jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and site cleanliness at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience in high-level residential carpentry, framing, and general construction.
- Proven ability to manage a jobsite and coordinate effectively with other trades and subcontractors.
- Strong technological proficiency; comfortable using mobile apps for time tracking, photo documentation, and reporting.
- Willingness to travel consistently to jobsites across Northern NJ, Upstate NY, Delaware, and Eastern PA.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Bonus/Highly Desirable: Significant experience in other construction trades (drywall, roofing, light electrical/plumbing, etc.). Candidates with diverse multi-trade skills will command a higher starting wage.
