Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and capable Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor follow-up for operational consumables across our warehouse network. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials that support daily fulfillment operations. The candidate should be comfortable working with data, able to maintain clear procurement reports, and proactive in identifying basic cost and process improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of consumables including packaging materials, cartons, tape, labels, stretch film, pallets, janitorial supplies, PPE, office supplies, and other operational materials.
- Support consumables procurement across Lecangs' U.S. warehouse network, balancing local warehouse needs with centralized cost control.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers; negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, minimum order quantities, and service expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels, consumption trends, reorder points, and safety stock; initiate purchase orders in a timely manner to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Build and maintain basic weekly and monthly procurement reports to track spend, usage trends, warehouse-level cost, supplier performance, cost savings, and open purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor files, pricing history, purchase orders, and approval documentation; ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse operations, finance, accounting, and logistics teams to support purchasing needs, invoice matching, and budget tracking.
- Prepare simple supplier scorecards and provide data support to management and the China support team when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience, preferably in logistics, warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, or manufacturing.
- Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, basic data cleaning, and clear reporting; Power BI or similar reporting tools are a plus, but not required.
- Experience with ERP, procurement systems, purchase order workflows, vendor master data, or invoice matching is a plus.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing data and generate practical, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
Pay: $70,304.00 - $85,000.00 per year
