The Jesse is a boutique hotel & bar in downtown Reno's Brewery District, is hiring a Bartender to join our team. We're a Mediterranean/Turkish-influenced bar and restaurant with a menu that blends craft cocktails with spirit-forward espresso drinks. We're looking for a bartender who takes pride in well-made drinks and genuine hospitality in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, spirit-forward espresso drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to spec
- Provide warm, attentive service to guests at the bar and support servers with drink tickets
- Operate the Toast POS accurately for orders and payments, and handle cash and card transactions responsibly
- Check IDs and serve alcohol responsibly in line with Nevada law
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar; complete opening, closing, and side work
- Assist with light food service and running food as needed during busy periods
What we're looking for:
- Prior bartending experience preferred; knowledge of classic cocktails and a good palate
- Familiarity with espresso and coffee-based cocktails is a plus
- Experience with Toast POS is a plus
- Strong communication, multitasking, and customer-service skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older
- Alcohol Awareness (TAM®) Card required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Washoe County Food Handler Safety Card required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
