The Associate Product Manager supports the product line across its lifecycle, with primary ownership of sustaining and configuration activities. Key responsibilities include:
Configuration & BOM Management
Own and maintain the catalog of products and options offered for sale, ensuring configurations are accurate, current, and aligned with the plan of record.
Manage product BOMs and configuration data; ensure changes are correctly reflected across systems and documentation.
Review customer product configurations to ensure quality, completeness, and manufacturability prior to order fulfillment.
Review and dispositions non-standard configuration requests, partnering with engineering and the lead PM on feasibility and pricing.
Sustaining & Lifecycle
Sustain and support active products from a product management view, including driving resolution of end-of-life (EOL) and component obsolescence issues.
Evaluate alternatives and drive solutions in support of product lifetime extension.
Lead product lifecycle documentation and prepare customer notifications/communications (e.g., product change notices, EOL announcements).
Process and track engineering change requests (ECRs/ECNs), assessing product, cost, and customer impact.
Cost & Operational Support
Maintain product data, dashboards, and trackers that give visibility into configuration, cost, and lifecycle status.
Support the lead PMs on roadmap execution and cross-functional coordination as needed.

Strong attention to detail and a structured, organized approach to managing complex data (configurations, BOMs, change records).
A bias for action and strong follow-through; able to drive issues to closure across multiple teams.
Solid technical aptitude — able to read and reason about hardware/system configurations and engineering changes.
Excellent collaboration and communication; able to build cross-functional partnerships and keep stakeholders aligned.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing (customer notifications, change documentation).
Comfortable solving structured problems in a fast-moving environment, and escalating appropriately.
Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Teramcenter) and BOM/configuration management is a plus.
