SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Proper and effective pest management of residential and commercial properties often includes dealing with various types of nuisance wildlife. As a Wildlife and Exclusion Technician, it is your responsibility to apply various forms of exclusion strategies aligning with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles to keep animals such as rodents, foxes, raccoons, possums, squirrels, bats, out of client’s homes and structures. You will work closely with our clients out in the field, conduct thorough and high-quality inspections of properties in the area, properly identify target nuisance wildlife and pests, and perform exclusion work to safely and effectively prevent nuisance wildlife from re-entering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
· Repair and seal homes and businesses using a mix of carpentry, masonry, and other general repair techniques
· Learn and apply custom exclusion techniques (we provide full training!)
· Thoroughly and confidently survey and inspect client sites and properties to identify specific target nuisance wildlife
· Work independently at job sites with use of a company vehicle
· Operate hand and power tools, ladders, and materials safely and confidently
· Help identify and resolve structural entry points for wildlife
· Communicate professionally with clients and teammates
· Utilize field management software to track work, update service orders, and note findings and observations while working at client sites
· Set and monitor specialized rodent and wildlife traps
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey ideas and instructions to team members, clients, coworkers, and management.
· A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to take initiative, solve problems creatively, execute, and adapt to changing situations.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Willingness to learn a specialized trade and complete company-provided training
· Comfort in working on roofs, in crawlspaces, and at heights (28–32 ft. ladder use required)
· Comfort with working in hot and cold temperatures
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and pass a background check and drug screen
· Previous construction, trade, masonry, carpentry experience a plus
· Previous pest control experience a plus
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education/Licenses:
· High School Degree or GED Equivalent
· Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
· RI Nuisance Wildlife Trapping License (we will provide training and pay for licensing)
Experience:
· Proven experience in Pest Control Preferred but not necessary.
· Proven trade experience (carpentry, masonry, construction) preferred but not necessary.
Environment:
· 30% Inside, Residential/Commercial Properties, 70% outside environment where temperatures during the year can range.
· Driving or walking for long periods of time.
Safety:
· The ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50lbs unassisted.
· Ability to climb stairs frequently while carrying equipment and supplies.
· Comfortable and able to stop, kneel, crouch or crawl through enclosed spaces for long periods of time. (I.E- Attics, crawl spaces, basements)
· Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
