Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils to prepare for new guests.
- Assist with cleaning duties throughout the restaurant, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness in dining areas.
- Support food handling procedures by adhering to food safety guidelines during service and cleanup.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy trays, dishes, and supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using in-person interactions and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy.
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, responding promptly to their needs, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with food handling, food safety protocols, and basic kitchen operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate smoothly with team members and serve guests effectively.
- Experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Prior exposure to hospitality or customer service roles helps foster a guest-focused mindset essential for success in this position.
