Little Green Tree House in Lakeview is looking for enthusiastic and caring educators to join our community. Our team consists of passionate educators who are dedicated to fostering the growth of children in an environmentally friendly facility that promotes play based curriculum. We are looking for candidates that have experience and interest in working in the field of Early Childhood Education. You’ll help provide a child-centered, play-based curriculum, which reflects best practices in our eco-friendly center. While these positions are Part-Time, there is potential for additional hours.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
- Assists the Lead in planning and implementing the daily program for children, including the following: Treats each child with dignity and respect.
- maintains a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Works to prevents injuries and handles emergencies, accidents, and injuries appropriately when they occur.
- Recognizes and considers the background, handicaps, special talents and interests, style and pace of learning of each child.
- Helps children learn to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and to respect themselves and others.
- supervises the classroom according to the plans of the Lead Teacher when the Lead is out of the room.
- Promotes and maintains good rapport and working relationships with other staff members.
- Participates in all staff training sessions, meetings and programs as requested by the Director and as sponsored by the Center.
- Helps with meal snack preparation, feeding children, modeling table manners at family style meals.
- Maintains professional conduct in working with parents and staff, as well as visitors and the general public.
Job Type: Part Time
Pay: $16.50- $17.00 per hour
