Home Health & Hospice Billing Specialist
Position Summary:
Skye Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced Home Health & Hospice Billing Specialist responsible for the accurate and timely billing of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private pay claims. Candidate must have knowledge of home health and hospice billing regulations, claims processing, accounts receivable follow-up, and denial management.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and manage Home Health and Hospice claims.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Review documentation for billing compliance.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve denials.
- Maintain accounts receivable and aging reports.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and payer guidelines.
- Work closely with clinical staff to obtain required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Home Health and/or Hospice billing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial Insurance billing.
- Experience with Axxess or similar EMR preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
