Position Summary
The Parts Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of watch parts inventory within The 1916 Company Service Center. This role supports the repair process by receiving, organizing, tracking, ordering, and distributing genuine watch parts, specialized tools, and consumables required for servicing luxury timepieces across multiple authorized brands.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced service environment where accuracy and efficiency are critical. Working closely with Watchmakers, Repair Administrators, Purchasing, and Operations, the Parts Specialist ensures inventory integrity while helping maintain repair turnaround times.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming watch parts, tools, and consumables against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Organize, label, and securely store inventory according to established Service Center procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by processing all inventory transactions within NetSuite, Salesforce, or other inventory management systems.
- Pick, verify, and distribute parts to Watchmakers and Repair Administrators to support timely completion of repair work orders.
- Process returned and unused parts back into inventory while maintaining accurate inventory tracking and traceability.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and prepare replenishment requests to maintain appropriate stock levels for ongoing repair operations.
- Track open parts orders, monitor backorders, and communicate parts availability and expected delivery timelines to internal teams.
- Verify the authenticity, condition, and accuracy of received parts before adding them to inventory to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged shipments, and incorrect part deliveries in collaboration with Purchasing and Operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure inventory environment while following company policies for handling high-value luxury watch components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements that improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and service turnaround times.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of inventory, stockroom, warehouse, or parts management experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience working within a luxury watch service center, jewelry repair, manufacturing, or precision parts environment.
- Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce, or other ERP/inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices including cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience handling small, high-value, or delicate components.
