Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and needs.
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and recommend products accordingly.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain well-stocked shelves by organizing and replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and restocking items.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist in pricing, discounts, and promotions effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in a grocery store setting.
- Familiarity with stock management processes and inventory control.
- Proficient in operating POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts for accurate pricing and sales calculations.
- Leadership abilities to supervise staff and foster teamwork within the store environment.
