Others eventually want something different.
If you're ready for more independence, more variety, and a change of scenery throughout your workweek, home care could be exactly what you're looking for.
You'll travel to clients throughout our service area, provide the care outlined in their individualized plan, document your visit, and move on to your next assignment.
Some days may include longer caregiving shifts.
Others may include shorter bathing visits.
And because our clients live throughout the area, caregivers who are comfortable working in a variety of communities may have access to more available hours.
What Does a Typical Visit Look Like?
Every client is different, which is part of what makes home care interesting.
Depending on the assignment, you'll:
- Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
- Help with meal preparation.
- Support established daily routines.
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Assist with light household tasks related to the client's care.
- Encourage independence whenever possible.
- Observe changes in condition and communicate concerns.
- Complete required documentation.
- Help clients remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.

Not every assignment needs to be a traditional multi-hour shift.
Summit Home Care also offers dedicated bathing and shower visits paying $32.00-$34.00 per visit.
These can be a great option for experienced caregivers who want to add additional visits around their existing schedule or combine different types of assignments.
We're Looking for Caregivers Who Can Own Their Day
Home care requires independence.
There's no nurses' station 20 feet away.
That means we need people who are dependable, organized, communicative, and confident in their caregiving abilities.
We're especially interested in candidates with experience as:
- Home Health Aides (HHA).
- Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA).
- Direct Support Professionals (DSP).
- Resident Assistants (RA).
- Nursing Assistants.
- Personal Care Assistants (PCA).
- Assisted Living or Memory Care Caregivers.
- Home Care Professionals.
What You'll Need
- At least one year of caregiving experience supporting multiple clients.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
- Ability to travel between client homes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule.
- Willingness to consider assignments in multiple areas within our service territory.
CNA certification is welcomed but not required.
