Duties
- Assist in planning and executing menus that meet dietary guidelines and client preferences
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and portion standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including food prep stations, cooking equipment, and dining spaces
- Follow food safety protocols for handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery
- Support catering events by preparing food items and assisting with serving as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal presentation techniques
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with slicing techniques, knife skills, and food handling procedures is highly desirable
