Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
- Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, and beverage options like cocktails and spirits
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols in line with health regulations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any concerns with professionalism
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service flow in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or hospitality experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales revenue
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a lively restaurant setting
- Previous experience in serving, bartending, or host/hostess roles preferred but not required
