Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts using Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist during treatments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and performing medical imaging tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
