Facility Maintenance Director

Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and appearance of our facility. This role ensures that the building, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner while supporting a comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance operations of the facility and grounds.
- Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs for building systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including life safety and OSHA standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and other mechanical systems.
- Assist with budgeting, inventory, and purchasing of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and disaster response planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, assisted living, or commercial maintenance setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of life safety codes, OSHA regulations, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
