Responsible for various budget functions involving the formulation, justification and/or execution of budgets for organizations, programs, or projects
Provide project management support for DoD system procurements including in depth knowledge and hands-on experience in cost/schedule management, appropriate automated planning/control tools (e.g., GFEBS, SOMARDS), cost estimating, and budget and funds management
Develop comprehensive knowledge of budgetary policies, procedures, and regulations issued by OMB, DoD, and Department of Army Facilitate the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Executing (PPBE) process
Plans, directs and executes actions required to formulate, develop, coordinate and implement policies and guidelines governing the designated funding appropriation portion of major programs such as Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA), Other Procurement, Army (OPA) Appropriations and other assigned appropriations.
Track financial data, organize and direct cost, budget, and schedule analysis
Prepares documents needed to process budget estimates, requests for reprogramming, and allotments from higher headquarters.
Exercises budget controls through review and approval of the obligation and expenditure of funds to include payment of personnel salaries, travel, and other expenses.
Prepare financial recommendations and advise customers
Forecasts and executes the prior, current, and budget year programs.
Develops, formulates, and prepares required data and assorted narrative justifications for long-range budget exercises.
Salary range: $80,000 - $130,000/Year, DOE

Experience in utilization of General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS)
A thorough knowledge of government financial management functions and processes
Must have an active security clearance
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Experience with Microsoft Office - including SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
