Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly while ensuring their comfort throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations.
- Assist with training new staff members on service standards and restaurant procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a server role within the restaurant or nightclub industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
