Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join our team on a wastewater treatment plant project in Sherman, TX. Minimum 40hrs a week with $125 per diem. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems that support critical water and wastewater infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong commercial or light industrial electrical experience and is proficient in conduit installation, equipment terminations, motor controls, and interpreting electrical blueprints. Experience working in water/wastewater facilities, industrial plants, or similar environments is a plus.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term infrastructure project with a reputable contractor while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and light industrial facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and wiring schematics.
- Install conduit (EMT, IMC, RMC, and PVC), cable tray, and electrical wiring.
- Install and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and distribution equipment.
- Install lighting, receptacles, branch circuits, feeders, and electrical devices.
- Wire and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, motors, motor controls, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Perform electrical testing using multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Identify and repair electrical faults while minimizing equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and OSHA safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Mentor apprentices and ensure quality workmanship.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems within industrial facilities or construction sites, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Collaborate with project teams during renovation or new construction projects, contributing to blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
Must Haves:
-Minimum of 4 years commercial electrical experience
-Valid identification proving right-to-work in the US.
-Valid TDLR
-Necessary tools of the trade and PPE.
-Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
-Reliable transportation to get to the job, on-time, everyday.
