We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data concepts to support data analysis, data mapping, and data review initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring data quality, understanding data lineage, and working closely with business and technology teams to improve data processes and deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data analysis and the ability to interpret, validate, and connect data across systems, particularly in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and review datasets to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy
Write and validate SQL queries to support data analysis and business needs
Perform data mapping and lineage analysis to understand how data flows across systems
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and validate data outputs
Identify data issues, inconsistencies, and gaps, and recommend improvements
Support regulatory and compliance-related data deliverables
Work with data consumers to enhance existing processes and reporting
Collaborate with technology teams on data-related initiatives
Document data definitions, mappings, and transformations
Primary Skill Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of SQL (not expert level, but hands-on and confident)
Experience in Data Analysis and Data Review
Understanding of Data Mapping and Data Lineage
Solid grasp of data concepts and business context of data
Secondary (Preferred) Skills:
Basic understanding of Data Governance principles
Exposure to Compliance and Regulatory frameworks
Familiarity with ETL processes, cloud platforms, and databases
Experience with financial reporting data (preferred)
Exposure to tools like Collibra or other data lineage/governance tools
Basic understanding of visualization tools like Tableau (focus on data, not tool expertise)
