Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately while handling cash handling and cashiering duties with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, demonstrating culinary experience when needed
- Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations, address concerns promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with food handling, beverage service, and basic math calculations for bills or inventory when required
- Support team members in maintaining a smooth flow during busy hours by managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks
Experience
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining exposure
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of the food industry trends, including upselling techniques and menu knowledge is a plus
