Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team in delivering high-quality behavioral health services. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, primarily focusing on autism spectrum disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to implement individualized behavior intervention plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, supporting clients in developing essential skills and reducing challenging behaviors. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and other self-care routines, fostering independence and confidence
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement evidence-based ABA therapy protocols tailored to each client’s individualized care plan
- Support clients in developing communication, social, academic, and life skills through structured teaching methods
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts and team members to ensure consistent application of intervention strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to promote understanding of therapy goals and progress updates
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially within a home-based or school setting
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred
- Background in special education or behavioral health environments demonstrating strong behavior management skills
- Proven ability to collect behavioral data accurately and maintain detailed client records in accordance with confidentiality standards such as HIPAA
- Previous experience supporting clients through direct behavioral therapy, including implementing care plans and behavior management strategies

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
