Creative, experienced, and highly energetic group leader needed to facilitate an activity-based counseling group for at-risk and traumatized school-age children. This is a part time position of 10 hours a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm to 7pm. Responsibilities include developing and implementing group activities focused on socially acceptable behaviors and personal development, implementing interventions to promote successful participant engagement, preparing monthly progress reports, and communicating regularly with the Youth Services Director about program operations and concerns about participants. A Bachelor's Degree in education or related field is required. Candidates must have a minimum of three years' experience leading groups for at-risk school age children, including working within diverse racial and cultural groups. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to plan, and work as part of a team.
