Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of residents in our assisted living community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in recreational therapy, senior care, and event planning, with a genuine passion for engaging and supporting individuals with diverse needs. As an Activities Assistant, you will coordinate and facilitate a variety of recreational activities designed to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment for all residents.
Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute engaging activities tailored to residents’ interests
- Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced mix of social, recreational, and therapeutic events throughout the week.
- Foster a positive atmosphere by encouraging participation and facilitating social interactions among residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and response to activities for ongoing care planning.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by providing companionship, counseling on aging issues, and promoting community involvement.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in senior living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior activities coordination.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
