Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Industrial Supply Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations within the industrial sector. Duties
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with organizational goals, focusing on procurement category management and supplier management experience.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining compliance with procurement regulatory standards such as Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Manage procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to streamline purchasing workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee vendor contract management, including performance evaluation, root cause analysis of supply issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning teams to coordinate supply chain activities effectively.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify new sourcing opportunities that optimize pricing and quality standards.
- Monitor procurement metrics related to MRP (Material Requirements Planning), logistics, materials management, and supply chain performance to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in supply chain management.
- Extensive vendor contract management experience with a focus on negotiation strategies for direct procurement contracts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for procurement processing and category management.
- Knowledge of procurement regulatory frameworks including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects involving project management principles and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Strong understanding of logistics, production planning, pricing strategies, quality assurance processes, and materials management.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to perform root cause analysis for supply disruptions or quality issues.
