- Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Manage inventory of sterilized instruments and supplies, ensuring all materials are available for daily procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument usage, and inventory levels in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of dental treatment rooms by organizing sterile instruments and ensuring all supplies meet safety standards.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument handling to uphold infection control protocols.
- Understand basic medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy to accurately process instruments and assist with patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to sterilization procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience in sterile processing or medical device sterilization is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to dentistry enhances understanding of instrument handling and patient safety.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems helps maintain accurate stock levels of supplies.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology ensures clear communication within the dental team.
