Job Overview
The Windmill Restaurants are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations in a high-volume, full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, team development, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. This position is responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring operational excellence, and driving a positive, service-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient workflow.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff while fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate team members to maintain a high-performing staff.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Monitor labor, food, and beverage costs while identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure proper product levels and minimize waste.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, creating positive resolutions and memorable dining experiences.
- Oversee cash handling, daily deposits, and accurate POS reporting.
- Maintain restaurant appearance, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
- Support the implementation of promotions, special events, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and cost management.
- Excellent guest service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with POS systems and cash management procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
