Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Production Supervisor to lead our night shift operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and motivate your team to achieve operational excellence. Your leadership will drive efficiency on the factory floor, coordinate with various departments, and uphold our commitment to manufacturing high-quality products. Duties
- Set goals for performance and deadlines according to direction from Director of Operations and communicate them to subordinates
- Must be willing and able to run one of the following machines during shift: CNC Mill, CNC Lathe or Multi Spindle machine
- Monitor manufacturing processes for quality control, safety compliance, and efficiency, making adjustments as necessary
- Organize employee workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching and/or training
- Ensure employee time keeping as a whole and per job
- Coordinate flow of information between upper management and Night Shift employees
- Prepare and submit performance reports
- Recommend reward and promotion of employees based on performance
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises and upon Director of Operation's approval
Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with a strong understanding of production processes
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for troubleshooting or minor repairs
- Valid forklift certification with warehouse experience preferred for efficient material handling
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively during night shifts
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate across departments and relay important information clearly
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
