Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our passionate dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plans and ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to post-treatment follow-up. Responsibilities
- Provide clear explanations of treatment options and financial arrangements
- Schedule appointments efficiently using patient management software (Dentrix preferred) and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist patients with understanding their treatment plans, including procedural steps, costs, and insurance benefits
- Manage phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
- Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients, ensure we have all information needed to proceed with treatment, and schedule treatment productively to achieve goals
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient experiences from check-in to check-out
Qualifications
- At least 2 years prior experience (recent) in a dental office with a focus on treatment and patient management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with patient management software (Dentrix preferred) or EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, patient financial options and dental insurance processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
- Demonstrates ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
- Skilled in dental administrative support tasks such as typing, data entry, and document organization
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care
