CENTER DIRECTOR
Skribbles Learning Center, Inc. is a privately held family-owned company with two childcare centers located in Northborough, MA. Our philosophy is “Where Children Play to Learn”. We have been voted Best Preschool by Reader’s Choice for the last 6 years. We pride ourselves in employing experienced professionals demonstrating a love for children along with a positive attitude and dedication to the field of early education.
We are currently searching for a Director II certified individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to manage and oversee daily operations with an emphasis on ensuring the center is in compliance with EEC regulations and Skribbles’ philosophy and policies. The center employees 20 certified teachers and assistants and is licensed for 74 children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. We promote a “team-player” attitude where the culture is relaxed and friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations
- Ensure the facilities comply with EEC regulations
- Ensure compliance with center policies and handbooks
- Manage and support staff of 20
- Interview, hire, and train new staff members
- Communicate and partner with parents regarding child's progress and overall growth and development
- Ensure a positive culture for families, children and staff
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Director in a licensed Early Education program
- Must hold at least a bachelor’s degree
- Must be Director II EEC Certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic
- QRIS experience preferred
