The Lampliter is seeking a motivated and design-oriented Lighting Design & Sales Consultant to help homeowners and businesses transform their spaces through exceptional lighting solutions.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in sales, interior design, home improvement, construction, landscape design, or lighting who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and creating beautiful environments. You'll work directly with homeowners, builders, designers, property managers, and contractors to design and sell custom lighting solutions for residential and commercial projects throughout the greater Indianapolis area.

What You'll Do
Sales & Client Consultation
- Guide customers through the lighting selection and design process
- Build relationships with homeowners, interior designers, builders, contractors, and property managers
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate lighting products and solutions
- Prepare lighting designs, proposals, and quotations
- Follow up on leads and maintain ongoing communication throughout the sales process
- Achieve personal sales goals while contributing to company growth
Lead Generation & Business Development
- Follow up on leads generated through company marketing initiatives
- Schedule and conduct in-home and on-site consultations
- Generate new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community events
- Participate in trade shows, home shows, and local marketing activities
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system
Lighting Design & Project Development
- Develop lighting layouts and fixture recommendations
- Assist clients with layered lighting concepts and design coordination
- Recommend products that complement architectural styles, finishes, and budgets
- Stay current on lighting trends, technologies, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with installation team members to ensure successful project execution
On-Site Consultations
- Meet with clients at residential and commercial properties
- Assess existing lighting conditions and project requirements
- Discuss customer goals, preferences, and budgets
- Present customized lighting designs and solutions
Qualifications
Required
- Previous sales experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort using CRM and email systems
Preferred
- Experience in lighting, interior design, home furnishings, construction, landscaping, or home improvement sales
- Knowledge of lighting fixtures, controls, and applications
- Experience reading plans or creating design layouts
- Interior design education or related experience
- Experience with lighting design software or layout tools
- Proven ability to generate referrals and repeat business
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
